Google and Coinbase Team up on AI Agent Payments

Google published a paper a few days ago warning of the coming “Virtual Agent Economy” as AI agents become more and more numerous online.

Yesterday they announced they are teaming up with Coinbase (the crypto trading company) to launch the protocol to run this new economy for AI:

This is a birth of a brand new “platform” for agentic tasks, as well as a whole new AI currency and methods of payment.
