Elon Musk's 'TruthGPT' Takes on Microsoft and Google's 'ChatGPT' in the Fight Against AI Bias and 'Civilizational Destruction'
Today:
Elon Musk Tells Tucker Potential Dangers Of Hyper-Intelligent AI
In this video, Elon Musk talks to Tucker Carlson about the potential dangers of hyper-intelligent AI. Musk explains that while AI can be incredibly beneficial, it also has the potential to become smarter than humans and pose a threat to our survival. He likens it to "summoning the demon," and warns that we need to be cautious and regulate the development of AI. Carlson seems skeptical, but Musk maintains that it's important to be proactive about AI safety. It's an interesting discussion that highlights the potential risks and rewards of AI. So, summon that demon at your own risk!
Elon Musk To Develop 'TruthGPT' As He Warns About 'Civilizational Destruction' From AI
Elon Musk plans to create his own version of an artificial intelligence chatbot, called "TruthGPT," to counter the progressive-programmed AI app, ChatGPT. During an interview with Fox News, Musk explained that his "maximum truth-seeking AI" will understand the universe and that an AI that seeks truth is unlikely to destroy humans. Musk funded ChatGPT's development initially to control it, but the software became a commercial product owned by Microsoft and Google. Musk also warns of the dangers of AI and its potential to cause "civilizational destruction" if not regulated.

OpenAi Chief Says Age Of Giant AI Models Is Ending; A GPU Crisis Could Be One Reason Why
The era of ever-larger artificial intelligence models is coming to an end due to cost constraints and diminishing returns, according to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. One major driver of this pivot is the exorbitant and unsustainable expense of training and running the powerful graphics processes needed for large language models. Training a state-of-the-art LLM can require hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of computing, and the economics of scale have turned against ever-larger models. Progress will instead come from improving model architectures, enhancing data efficiency, and advancing algorithmic techniques. While not everyone agrees that a GPU crisis is at the heart of Altman’s comments, access to GPUs is everything for AI-focused companies. Even OpenAI may ultimately have to look in a new direction as the era of unlimited data, computing, and model size that remade AI over the past decade is drawing to a close.
The Path to the Scaling Hypothesis
Samsung May Replace Google Search With AI-Powered Bing On All Devices
Samsung is reportedly considering replacing Google with Microsoft's Bing as the default search engine on its devices. This has caused "panic" within Google, which earns about $3 billion annually from its partnership with Samsung. The move towards Bing may be attributed to the search engine's AI-enabled capabilities. As a result, Google has accelerated its AI development, seeing AI competitors as the most serious threat to Google’s search business in 25 years. The company is upgrading its existing search with AI features, as well as developing products such as a language-teaching tool and an AI-based image generator.
Superchat's New AI Chatbot Lets You Message Historical And Fictional Characters Via ChatGPT
Gorilla Technologies has created Superchat, an AI chat app for iOS users which enables users to chat with virtual characters powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The AI technology can aid users with everyday tasks and help educate users about notable historical figures or characters from public domain works, classic stories or fairy tales. While some of the characters are available for free with the app download, others can be unlocked via a premium subscription. However, the upgrade is costly and probably too high for the target market, given that a weekly subscription is $6.99. Superchat allows users to have multiple conversations with different AI chatbots simultaneously.
AutoGPT Is The First ChatGPT-Based AI Tool That Could Start To Do Your Job For You
AutoGPT is an experimental AI project that showcases the capabilities of the GPT-4 language model, allowing it to act autonomously to complete tasks. It can perform web-based actions unattended, search the web, improve its own code, and generate content. AutoGPT can also improve itself without any outside interference, which is why it is being compared to AGI. Although it is an open-source Python application, using it requires some technical knowledge. It is easier to use a tool called Godmode, which is similar to ChatGPT but has a more user-friendly design. However, using Godmode can quickly consume your OpenAI API credit.
CleverTap Launches OpenAI Integrated Content Creation Assistant 'Scribe'
CleverTap, a US-based customer retention platform, has launched an OpenAI integrated content creator assistant called 'Scribe.' The AI content feature can generate campaign creatives, analyse emotions, and suggest rewrites that resonate better with the brand's users. Scribe can also interpret messages' emotions and suggest the best alternatives for better engagement. With Scribe, marketers can leverage user engagement data based on emotion analysis to develop hyper-personalised content that resonates with the user while remaining consistent with the brand. CleverTap Enterprise Customers will get access to Scribe starting this April.
Microsoft And Epic Expand Strategic Collaboration With Integration Of Azure OpenAI Service
Microsoft and Epic announced the expansion of their partnership by developing and integrating generative AI into healthcare. This collaboration will provide generative AI-powered solutions with Epic’s electronic health record (EHR) software to help improve patient care and reduce costs for healthcare providers. The first set of solutions will include enhancements to automatically draft message responses and will bring natural language queries and interactive data analysis to SlicerDicer, Epic’s self-service reporting tool. The companies will use Azure OpenAI Service to create these AI-powered solutions. Eric Boyd, corporate vice president, AI Platform at Microsoft, said that their partnership builds on a long history of collaboration and that their companies will help providers deliver significant clinical and business outcomes.
