Google is enhancing AI Overviews with Gemini 2.0 for better responses in coding, math, and multimodal queries. AI Mode, a new experimental feature, expands AI-powered search with advanced reasoning and deeper exploration. Users can ask complex questions and receive detailed responses with links. AI Mode is being tested in Labs, with Google One AI Premium subscribers getting early access. Google aims to refine AI-powered search through user feedback.

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-4.5 to ChatGPT Plus users over the next few days. The model, first available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers, boasts enhanced knowledge, emotional intelligence, and reduced hallucinations. However, it's costly to operate, leading OpenAI to reconsider its long-term API availability. Despite improvements, GPT-4.5 lags behind some competitors in AI reasoning. OpenAI continues refining its offerings based on user demand and cost analysis.

OpenAI plans to charge up to $20,000 per month for high-end AI agents designed for PhD-level research. Lower-tier agents for knowledge workers and software development will cost $2,000 and $10,000 per month, respectively. The company expects AI agents to generate 20-25% of its future revenue. OpenAI’s pricing strategy is being closely watched, as the AI industry experiments with different monetization models for automated AI services.

Qwen has introduced QwQ-32B, a 32-billion-parameter AI model leveraging Reinforcement Learning (RL) to enhance reasoning. Despite its smaller size, it rivals DeepSeek-R1 (671B parameters) in performance. The model improves math, coding, and general capabilities through a multi-stage RL training process. Open-source on Hugging Face and ModelScope, QwQ-32B aims to advance Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) by integrating agents and long-horizon reasoning for enhanced intelligence.

CoreWeave, a cloud provider for AI companies, is acquiring Weights & Biases for around $1.7 billion to diversify ahead of its IPO. The deal could help reduce reliance on major clients like Microsoft and Nvidia. Weights & Biases, used by OpenAI and Salesforce, provides AI development tools but faces competition from Databricks and Hugging Face. CoreWeave, valued at over $20 billion, saw revenue surge to $1.9 billion in 2024.

The Meta Plan Optimization (MPO) framework improves large language model (LLM) agents by reducing planning errors and enhancing adaptability without retraining. MPO uses high-level meta plans for guidance and continuously refines them based on feedback. Experiments show MPO outperforms existing methods, boosting efficiency and generalization in interactive planning tasks.

Mask-DPO improves factual accuracy in large language models (LLMs) by refining training with sentence-level factual signals. It avoids penalizing truthful content while filtering out hallucinations. Experiments show Mask-DPO significantly enhances factual alignment across diverse datasets, outperforming larger models and offering insights into optimizing LLM generalization for accurate AI assistance.

This study analyzes the impact of Large Language Models (LLMs) on Wikipedia, revealing subtle but growing influences on content and related NLP tasks. Simulations show LLM-generated text may inflate machine translation benchmarks and degrade retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The findings highlight emerging risks and the need for vigilance in Wikipedia’s evolution.
